EXO's Kai Beats BTS' j-hope to Top CHOEAEDOL's 'WATERBOMB Dream Idol' Poll

- Fans name Kai the idol they most want to see on a summer festival stage

CHOEAEDOL, a fan-powered idol voting app, announced on July 27 that Kai of EXO has been named the winner of its 'WATERBOMB Dream Idol' theme poll.

The poll, held through the app's Theme Pick feature, asked fans which idol they would most like to see perform at WATERBOMB, one of summer's signature music festivals. Voting closed on July 24.

Kai claimed the top spot ahead of high-profile contenders including j-hope of BTS and Beomgyu of TOMORROW X TOGETHER. With performers renowned for their stage presence filling the upper ranks, fandoms waged a spirited voting battle throughout the event.

Kai took part in EXO's eighth full-length album 'Reverxe', released in January as the group's first full studio album in about two years, and EXO recently performed its 'EXO PLANET #6 - EXhOrizon' world tour shows in Manila, the Philippines, on July 4 and 5, continuing the group's global activities.

"Kai has long been celebrated for his singular dance lines and commanding stage performances, making him a natural fit for a summer festival stage, and fans rallied behind him", a CHOEAEDOL official said.
