[Press Release] Witness a Whimsical Journey of First Love: "Love Untangled" Premieres August 29

Set to make hearts flutter this summer, the upcoming YA romance "Love Untangled" will premiere on August 29. Set in 1998, "Love Untangled" follows 19-year-old Park Se-ri (Shin Eun-soo) as she attempts to straighten her perpetually frizzy hair before making a life-changing confession, all while getting entangled with transfer student Han Yoon-seok (Gong Myung). The first look teaser and poster have been unveiled today.

Starring rising actors Gong Myung, Shin Eun-soo, Cha Woo-min, and Yoon Sang-hyeon, the film brings fresh chemistry to the screen, capturing the joys and challenges of teenage love and friendships. Directed by Namkoong Sun ("Time to Be Strong", "Ten Months"), "Love Untangled" promises an unpredictable and heartwarming story told with a uniquely tender perspective. In the teaser poster, Se-ri is seen struggling to straighten her hair. Hidden within her curls are colorful paper cranes and origami trinkets, highlighting the movie's whimsical charm, unique to teenage romance. 

The teaser trailer shows Se-ri's journey and the tangled moments of her past love confessions. Experienced in unrequited love confessions, Se-ri collaborates with her friends to team up with Han Yoon-seok, a new transfer student from Seoul. Their goal? To carry out "Operation Love" so she can confess her feelings to the school's most popular boy, Kim Hyeon (Cha Woo-min). Many of her subsequent efforts lead to comedic moments that reveal her adorable and lively personality. Meanwhile, the subtle and budding chemistry between Yoon-seok and Se-ri hints at an intriguing love triangle and an unpredictable first-love romance. 

Capturing the universal excitement and nervousness of young love, this refreshing story is sure to resonate with everyone. Together with Se-ri's friends, including Seong-rae (Yoon Sang-hyeon), the film blends bubbly youthful energy with the spirit of the 90s - featuring items like cassette tapes, 35mm film cameras, and camcorders to evoke a sense of vintage charm.
