MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama "When the Phone Rings" which will premiere at 9:50 PM on the 22nd, is a secret romance thriller between a show window couple in their third year of political marriage, which begins with a threatening phone call.

On the 5th, posters of four characters, including Yoo Yeon-seok (Baek Sa-eon), Chae Soo-bin (Hong Hee-joo), Heo Nam-jun (Ji Sang-woo), and Jang Gyuri (Na Yoo-ri), were released.

Yoo Yeon-seok is the youngest spokesman for the presidential office and has melted into Hong Hee-joo's business husband, Baek Sa-eon. He expresses the cold and decisive aspect of Sa-eon that should not be shaken at every moment. The phrase "Hee-joo is a completely new language, not an appendix" makes us wonder about his story of standing by his wife, who has become a precious being, even though it was just a political marriage.

Chae Soo-bin, who plays Hong Hee-joo, a sign language interpreter who is Baek Sa-eon's wife and suffered from an unexpected accident when she was young, is looking at her husband with a loving face. The copy, "You were the only one who listened to me even if I didn't say anything", heralds a change from her husband, who was cut off from communication after being kidnapped by a mysterious character. Chae Soo-bin's performance will digest the complex inner side of the character with eyes, facial expressions, and actions.

Heo Nam-jun as Ji Sang-woo, a psychiatrist and a personal broadcast creator specializing in mysteries, and Jang Gyuri is Na Yoo-ri, a top-rated announcer, who also boasts an extraordinary aura. The phrases "Why is the door to an empty house with no one inside, locked?" and "Have you ever been so hot with anyone?" draw curiosity to the story to come.

In particular, Heo Nam-jun and Jang Gyuri are expected to meet on a broadcast program and approach a certain mysterious incident little by little. Attention is also focusing on the hidden stories of the two, who will be intertwined differently, and what the secret of the end of tracing the truth will be.

Based on the popular web novel of the same name on Kakao Page, "When the Phone Rings" was joined by Kim Ji-woon-II, who wrote "Melancholia" and "Doctor John", and director Park Sang-woo-I, who directed "The Forbidden Marriage".

"When the Phone Rings" will premiere at 9:50 PM on the 22nd.
