Singer Rain Named Goodwill Envoy for Korean Tourism

Korean pop star Rain will serve as a goodwill ambassador to promote the country's tourism industry in 2007.
The Korea Tourism Organization has appointed Rain, better known as Bi in Korea, to help spread Korean pop culture, tourist spots and restaurants around the world.
The tourism body is also promoting its newly-renovated Korean Wave Pavilion part of its marketing activities centered around Hallyu or Korean pop culture.
The organization says it hopes Rain will help Korea attract seven million foreign visitors next year.
Rain, by the way, is set to kick off his world tour in Seoul on Friday.
