Actress Song Seon-mi has become "the daughter-in-law of choice" of middle-aged and elderly female viewers for her portrayal of the young housewife Ari in the KBS TV2 weekend series "Precious Family". Although her character is free-spirited enough to express her thoughts without reservation, she became an audience favorite for treating her parents-in-law with great respect.
"When I went to a bathhouse recently, elderly women who recognized me said that they wanted me to be their daughter-in-law, and even stroked my hair gently", said Song, smiling. And she says she is often recognized in other public places such as restaurants by middle-aged women, who tell her that they would be happy to have her as their daughter-in-law.
