Spike Lee mentioned to be "Oldboy" US version director

Spike Lee has been mentioned as the director of the remake version of "Oldboy".

According to Movie News website twitchfilm.com, director Spike Lee from the movie "Do The Right Thing" is negotiating matters related to the movie "Oldboy" by Park Chan-wook.

At one point, "Oldboy" was an issue as Steven Spielberg and Will Smith were to work on it together but due to copyright matters from the Japanese, this issue went under the surface.

Twitch.Com said, "The remake of "Oldboy" shall be produced my Doug Davison and Roy and written by Mark Protosevich. The production is Mandate Pictures".

Mostly dealing with African-American matters, Spike Lee has directed movies "Malcom X", and "Do The Right Thing".
