The first episode of the drama showed Park Ri-hwan (Lee Dong-wook) feeling upset at Kim Heng-ah (Jung Ryeo-won) for keeping a secret from him.

"Bubble Gum" is about the psychological state of Jung Ryeo-won and Lee Dong-wook who are friends that are about to cross a boundary.
