On the 9th episode of SBS Wednesday & Thursday drama, "Mask", Choi Min-woo (Ju Ji-hoon) was falsely charged for being part of Kim Jung-tae (Jo Han-sun)'s murder case after he fell into Min Seok-hoon (Yeon Jung-hoon)'s snare.

Minwoo was shocked because of this incident and his mentality became unstable again. He confessed to Byeon Ji-sook (Soo Ae) that he still remembered the moment he was about to kill Seo Eun-ha. It was a false memory Professor Kim (Joo Jin-mo-I) fabricated and implanted in Minwoo's memory.
Minwoo suffering from the bad memory jumped into a swimming pool as if he were being chased by something. Because his mother had drowned in a river, he had phobia with water. When he was struggling in the water, Ji-sook spotted him right on time and saved him out of the water.
Ji-sook and Minwoo became closer after this incident and the romance between the two started being right on track.
