Eun-tae's (Lee Sang-woo) feelings for Yoo-ha (Han Ji-hye) became greater after learning about her secret.

Yoo-ha begged Eun-tae to stay by her to save her daughter Eun-soo. He agreed as Eun-soo was in critical condition without blood treatment. Eun-tae felt dizzy after donating too much blood and Yoo-ha felt bad.

Yoo-ha offered to clear Eun-tae's overseas medical service costs. When Eun-tae asked if she was offering her own money she said, "I don't have that kind of money I can try if you become Eun-soo's exclusive blood donor. She needs you". Eun-tae wondered if she would keep her word even after Eun-soo was well enough and Yoo-ha said, "I'd write a contract. Eun-soo is all I have and you're the only one who can save her. I won't break a promise I risked my daughter's life for". Yoo-ha decided she would work on a project team that attracted hospital investments while hiding the fact that she wasn't married into the Haeya Group anymore in order to keep her promise with Eun-tae.

However, while talking with Eun-soo, Eun-tae learned that Yoo-ha was divorced. He realized she'd been daring to keep the promise she made to him. He recalled what Yoo-ha said and started feeling differently for her. He also watched her take Eun-soo home by subway.
