[Spoiler] "The Equator Man" young actors Lee Hyun-woo and Yim Si-wan

Lee Hyun-woo and Yim Si-wan have passed with flying colors.

On the first episode of the KBS 2TV drama "The Equator Man" on the 21st, young Lee Jang-il (Yim Si-wan) and Kim Seon-woo (Lee Hyun-woo) meet and become best friends like they never had.

These two have to lead the story until the fourth episode of the drama about their childhoods. Signs of big cases are made when they are young and it's not an overstatement when we say the kid actors decide the make or break of this drama.

There were concerns here and there about the kid actors before the broadcast but Yim Si-wan and Lee Hyun-woo's performances were enough to get rid of these suspicions. During the press release of "The Equator Man", Uhm Tae-woong and Lee Jun-hyuk said, "We believe Yim Si-wan and Lee Hyun-woo will do well". The two have created a synergy effect by working with each other.

Yim Si-wan is a top student but the absence of his mother and father's negligence caused Jang-il to live a lonely childhood. Lacking in love, he is a strong headed character who is lonely but doesn't give or take help from other people. Yim Si-wan did a good job in expressing the details of Jang-il.

Lee Hyun-woo played the role of rebellious child Seon-woo with a warm heart. It was a challenge for Lee Hyun-woo as it's a different kind of character he's never tried before but he made it his own with some 'cuteness' in it. Especially the scene where he saw his own father hanging dead from a tree and crying his heart out moved the hearts of those watching.

Girlfriends Han ji-won (Kyung Soo-jin) and Choi Soo-mi (Park Se-young) appeared making it a total of four kid actors and actresses in the first episode. The girls left a strong impression in the short amount of time.

Meanwhile, continuous cases like the secret to Seon-woo's birth, the people involved with the murder of his father, murder disguised as suicide and more helped to focus on the drama.
