On the latest episode of the SBS drama "While You Were Sleeping - 2017", Jeong Jae-chan (Lee Jong-suk) and Nam Hong-joo (Bae Suzy) almost lost their lives.

Luckily, they were saved by Choi (Kim Won-hae), but his real identity remained unclear. Choi had investigated the Ringer serial killer case in the past, but was suspected because lawyer Lee Yoo-beom (Lee Sang-yeob) manipulated the case. Jeong Jae-chan said, "We have to suspect those who we don't want to suspect".

Ha Joo-yeon told Lee Yoo-beom, "I killed twenty people, but I'm still alive thanks to your incompetence. I am grateful to you. I have hope for the first time in my life and that's Lee Yoo-beom. Be my hope 'til the end".

Jae-chan started reinvestigating the Ringer serial killer with Lee Ji-gwang (Min Sung-wook) and had to question Yoo-beom's records and investigator Dam-dong.

Meanwhile, Nam Hong-joo went to see Lee Yoo-beom in his office, but was forced to take medicine by Lee Yoo-beom and the killer who abandoned her.
