"Strong Girl Nam-soon", a Spin-off Story of the Mother

A spin-off (derivative) webtoon of JTBC's drama "Strong Girl Nam-soon" has been released.

Kakao Entertainment announced on the 10th that it is serializing a webtoon called "Strong Woman Hwang Geum-joo" featuring the mother of Gang Nam-soon, the main character in the drama "Strong Girl Nam-soon" and Hwang Geum-joo, who was born with strong power.

It includes the process of Hwang Geum-joo attending high school, forming a family, and achieving business success.

Author Lee Won-sik of "Smash It Girl" and Tuna Can of "Home Handmade Enterprise Ent" were in charge of the work, and will be shown in Japan, the United States, and Thailand this year.

This further broadens the worldview of the so-called 'strong women'.

"Strong Girl Nam-soon" which first aired on the 7th, also has a worldview with the drama "Strong Woman Do Bong-soon" starring Park Bo-young in 2017. It is said that Do Bong-soon and Gang Nam-soon are relatives.

In addition, a spin-off webtoon about the story of the main character's mother was added against the backdrop of the past.
