Sul Kyung-gu Expands Waistline for New Film

Sul Kyung-gu, star of such films as "Silmido" and "Oasis", is reported to have gained nearly 17 kilograms to play the role of a famous wrestler in his next film.
Last year, Sul weighed in at 73 kilograms to play a member of a 1960s suicide commando unit in his most recent film "Silmido".
In preparing for his new film, "Yokdosan", based on the true story of a Korean wrestler who became popular in Japan, Sul is reported to have expanded his waistline by three inches to a size 38 and increased his weight to nearly 90 kilograms in three months.
Seol is known for manipulating his weight for his films. For the detective role in "Konggong-ui Chok (Public Enemy)" (2001), Sul added 15 kilograms, and then lost another 20 kilograms to play a stringy neurotic in "Oasis" (2002).
