Super Junior's Choi Si-won Named UNICEF Ambassador

Choi Si-won of boy band Super Junior has been named goodwill ambassador for UNICEF's East Asian and Pacific office and will be officially appointed on Nov. 11 in Vientiane, Laos.

Choi has worked with the agency's Seoul office since 2015, engaging in various activities to promote the rights of children in developing countries including Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

Choi, together with his management SM Entertainment, has also provided music textbooks and instruments to 5,000 Vietnamese children a year since 2017.
