"The Handmaiden" is the story of a royal lady with a great big fortune inherited from her parents, a Count who wants her wealth, a servant and a guardian who are offered a delicious deal by the count.
Ha Jung-woo's role of The Count is a scammer who only approaches the lady because of her wealth. He has what it takes to seduce a woman.
Director Park Chan-wook says, "The Count is supposed to make even the audience suspect his truth. Ha Jung-woo is perfect to be the count that can even fool the audience".
Meanwhile, "The Handmaiden" will be released in June.
