SBS's new drama "The Killing Vote" (written by Jo Yoon-yeong/directed by Park Shin-woo-I/produced by Fan Entertainment, Studio S) is a public participation trial drama about tracking unidentified personalities that carry out the death penalty and execute the death penalty. It is based on a popular webtoon of the same name, which is serialized on Kakao Webtoon and Kakao Page and has about 130 million views.
The "The Killing Vote", newly organized as a Thursday drama, will air once every Thursday night at 9:00 PM, starting with one broadcast and two consecutive broadcasts on Thursday night, August 10th, 2023.
The main characters are Park Hae-jin, Park Sung-woong, and Lim Ji-yeon. First of all, Park Hae-jin plans to play Kim Moo-chan, the first team leader of the Southern Police Agency's metropolitan investigation unit, and show a rough and reckless side that is 180 degrees different from his existing image. Park Sung-woong is a jurist in the drama, but he directly kills the criminal who sexually assaulted his 8-year-old daughter, turns himself in, and plays Kwon Seok-joo, who is serving a long prison term. Lim Ji-yeon plays Joo Hyeon, a fifth-year police officer at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Cyber Safety Bureau.
