On June 30th, a tvN representative addressed the speculation, saying, "Nothing has been confirmed".

Earlier that day, MyDaily reported that tvN's upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama "The Second Signal" had been scheduled as an eight-episode series and was set to air from November 30th to December 22nd. The report also stated that actor Cho Jin-woong would appear in the drama without any edits, and that both his screen time and the overall quality of the series would remain unchanged.

"The Second Signal" is the long-awaited sequel to the hit 2016 drama "Signal", reuniting Kim Hye-soo, Lee Je-hoon, and Cho Jin-woong for the first time in a decade. The project generated significant buzz from the outset, with writer Kim Eun-hee-I returning to pen the script. It has been widely regarded as one of the flagship productions celebrating tvN's 20th anniversary. Filming was completed in August last year, meaning the series has essentially been ready for release pending only the confirmation of its broadcast schedule.

The drama had originally been slated to air in the first half of this year. However, those plans were postponed following Cho Jin-woong's retirement announcement, and its broadcast schedule has remained uncertain ever since. Although the production was completed, external circumstances delayed its release, keeping the project in limbo.

With reports now suggesting a November premiere, anticipation is growing over whether viewers will finally be able to see the long-awaited series after an extended delay.
