Webtoon "Perfect Family" to Be Turned into a Drama

Japanese director Isao Yukisada will direct a Korean drama for the first time.

According to the production company Victory Contents on the 23rd, Naver webtoon "Perfect Family" will be made into a drama. Director Isao will direct. It is a story of the family of Choi Seon-hee (Jung Ji-so), who seems to be happy and perfect to anyone, going through the death of her friend Kyeong-ho one day. Seon-hee, a high school student, confesses to her mother that she killed her classmate and stands at the center of the case. Yoon Se-ah plays the role of Ha Eun-joo, the stepmother of Seon-hee.

Director Isao is called a Japanese melodrama master. He won the 25th Japanese Academy Award for Best Director for "GO" (2002), and created a syndrome with "Shouting Love in the Center of the World" (2004). "Reverse Edge" (2018) won the International Critics' Federation Award at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival.

"Perfect Family" will meet with domestic and foreign viewers through the online video service (OTT).
