The law firm Infinity expressed its position on the situation that Yoo Ah-in, who was scheduled to be summoned to the Mapo Office of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency for questioning, refused to attend on the morning of the 11th.
Yoo Ah-in's side explained, "The lawyer requested a private summons based on the 'rules on public information such as police investigation cases', and the police also agreed".
However, Yoo Ah-in's summoning investigation schedule was reported on the 10th, and he said, "The police never disclosed the date of attendance, and expressed me to attend as planned because it will be conducted privately as a rule".
The legal representative added, "Yoo Ah-in tried to investigate even when the attendance schedule was revealed, and the lawyer asked for possible measures such as access to other routes in accordance with the principle of private summons, but the police did not accept it".
Yoo Ah-in's side said, "There are distorted articles reported as if they were refusing to attend just because of the reporters", adding, "In fact, they are deeply concerned that the same situation occurred again even though the lawyer protested once. We will respond to the police's request for attendance in the future and be sincerely investigated", he said.
