Zombie Flick 'Peninsula' Dominates Box Office in Canada

Director Yeon Sang-ho's latest film "Peninsula" swept the Canadian box office on the first weekend after its release, the film's distributor said on Tuesday.

It racked up US$120,000 in its first week.

The sequel to Yeon's 2016 zombie flick "Train to Busan" topped box offices in several Asian countries including Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam earlier this month.

It was released in Korea on July 15.

"Peninsula" is directed by Yeon Sang-ho, and features Gang Dong-won, Lee Jung-hyun, Lee Re, Kwon Hae-hyo, Kim Min-jae, Koo Kyo-hwan. Release date in Korea: 2020/07/15.
