By William Schwartz | Published on
The Udine Far East Film Festival recently announced the initial information for this year's edition of the festival, and "Ashfall" stood out among the forty-six selections as this year's opening film. Due to COVID-19 this year's festival will take place entirely online, starting on June 26th and ending on July 4th.

Most of the Udine Far East Film Festival catalog has not been released yet, in part because the initial rollout has focused on the online streaming packages being offered so that viewers can watch the movies online. Many are expected to not be available in all regions due to copyright restrictions. Past South Korean films to headline the Udine Far East Film Festival include "Ode to My Father", "A Melody to Remember", and "1987: When the Day Comes".
