[HanCinema's News] Seo Hyun-woo Shows Dedication to his Role in "Decision to Leave"

Seo Hyun-woo has piqued the interest of viewers lately with his role in "Decision to Leave" where, in the eyes of many, he's the most memorable performer beyond the leads, Park Hae-il and Tang Wei. Seo Hyun-woo plays the role of Cheol-seong, a suspicious person who appears to know information relelevant to the death of the husband of Tang Wei's character. Park Hae-il plays the investigator charged with trying to determine what happened to this husband.

Part of the memorable nature of Seo Hyun-woo's performance may be the dedication he went to in order to prepare himself for the role. Seo Hyun-woo gained twenty kilograms to better fit the appearance of his character. The effect on his appearance was so dramatic that Tang Wei expressed surprise upon seeing Seo Hyun-woo at a recent press screening, stating that the only part of him she could recognize was his face.
But Seo Hyun-woo took his mind seriously in addition to his body, putting much work into his Chinese speaking. Purportedly, Seo Hyun-woo spent three to four hours practicing his Chinese with Tang Wei directly ahead of his performance to try and make sure he got the tone of his scenes with her down perfectly. Seo Hyun-woo will make his next appearance in "Adamas" which will begin airing on July 27th, where he will play the role of Chairman Kwon.
