[HanCinema's News] The Ananti Namhae Confirmed as Shooting Location for "Decision to Leave"

In a recent interview director Park Chan-wook confirmed that The Ananti Namhae was the filming location used in the recent melodrama "Decision to Leave" for its villa scenes. According to Park Chan-wook, The Ananti Namhae was selected due to its relatively unusual combination of features. In South Korea luxury villas of this style are not typically located near the ocean, and the script called for both a luxury villa as well as the ocean in its backdrop.

This is not the first time that The Ananti Namhae has appeared in a South Korean film. Location shooting for the mystery thriller "The House" was also conducted at The Ananti Namhae, to a similar effect in mood. However, since that time The Ananti Namhae has undergone renovations, and the luxurious styling are more pronounced in "Decision to Leave" compared to "The House" in 2019. As the name implies, The Ananti Namhae is located in Namhae County in the southern part of the country.
