In an interview with News 1 about the movie "Midnight Sun" (director Cho Young-jun) at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 10th, Cha Hak-yeon said, "I like that freshness looks healthy".

"I brought the story of my teenage years to my 20s. I thought a lot about that", he said. "I said that I'm in my 20s and I'm old enough to be shy about such things, but I was excited about that. Although in her 20s, Mi-sol has always been single, and my role as Min-joon, was also not in a lot of relationships".

He said, "The cautious relationship between the two comes as excitement. After experiencing many people, they grow up and develope a strong romance, and Min-joon also shows that he starts a strong romance in the last scene. I think Min-joon will have a deeper romance in the future".

What is Cha Hwa-yeon's real love style? He said, "I prefer that kind of fresh romance. I met Min-joon a lot in terms of relationships. He is also a devoted type, and so am I in that manner".

When asked if he could say he's been in a relationship as an idol, he also drew attention by saying, "I've been in a relationship even though I was an idol. The fans know, of course, but it doesn't mean I was in one while I was active. I'm careful to mention".

"Midnight Sun" is a music romance about Mi-sol (Jung Ji-so), who can date only in the middle of the night due to XP syndrome, and Min-joon (Cha Hak-yeon), who grows up to become an actor, fall in love with each other and try to achieve their dreams together through music. It is a Korean remake of the 2007 Japanese movie "Midnight Sun" and was remade under the title "Midnight Sun" in Hollywood. The movie is also the music director of AKMU Lee Chan-hyuk.

Cha Hak-yeon plays Kim Min-joon, a sunflower-type man who dreams of becoming an actor in the film.

Meanwhile, "Midnight Sun" will be released on the 11th.
