First of all, Ji Chang-wook (Yoon Gye-re) said, "Sung Dong-il, Choi Soo-young, and Won Ji-an all had perfect chemistry from the first shooting. It was as warm and enjoyable as the work.
Because it was set in a hospice hospital, I met many seniors and actors, and once we got together, it became noisy, so the director had a hard time. I hope the good energy I felt at the scene will be delivered to the viewers", he said.
On the other hand, Choi Soo-young (Seo Yeon-joo) said, "I was excited even before reading the script when I heard that I would be working with people who I'm a fan of. I freely shared ideas on the scene, and they accepted everything I tried to ad-lib, so I had a lot of fun filming it", she said, expressing trust in the cast.
Finally, Won Ji-an (Ha Joon-kyeong) said, "The more I worked with Ji Chang-wook, the more I realized the character Joon-kyeong, and I felt the warmth every time I worked with Sung Dong-il. In addition, when I faced Choi Soo-young, my heart was drawn to the warm energy", she said, signaling synergy with various characters.
"If You Wish Upon Me" is a healing drama in which a precarious young man who is driven to the end of his life listens to people's last wishes at a hospice hospital and heals the pain. It was inspired by a real foundation in the Netherlands that grants the last wishes of terminal cancer patients.
The first episode will air on August 10th at 9:50 PM.
