KBS 2TV's new weekend drama "Iron Family" which is scheduled to premiere in September, is a romantic money bundle black comedy that takes place when Da-rim's family irons money instead of clothes.
Kim Young-ok and Park In-hwan, acting masters who cross the stage, screen, and small screen, will join "Iron Family" and reunite as a couple at KBS for the first time in 35 years.
First, Kim Young-ok plays the role of Ahn Gil-rye, the mother-in-law of Go Bong-hee (Park Ji-young) and the grandmother of Lee Da-rim (Keum Sae-rok). Gil-rye and her husband Man-deuk raised all of their children while going through a world of compassion with their ironing skills. She, who always feels sorry for her daughter-in-law, faces an inflection point of her life in the mountain where she goes up to pick ferns for her dead son's memorial service.
Park In-hwan plays the role of Lee Man-deuk, a gray-haired grandfather. He is a mean and cute younger husband who calls his wife, Gil-rye, 'nuna'. Man-deuk takes a handful of medicines every day. One day, after handing over the laundry to his daughter-in-law, who lives with her parents-in-law, he gets caught up in a shocking incident.
The production team of "Iron Family" said, "The famous actors Kim Young-ok and Park In-hwan will lead the central axis of the drama".
Meanwhile, KBS 2TV's new weekend drama "Iron Family" is a follow-up to "Beauty and Mr. Romantic" and is set to premiere in September.
