Synopsis
In 1909, the Korean Empire was in danger of losing its sovereignty to Japan. October 26, 1909, Harbin Station. Gunshots rang out as Japanese Prime Minister Itō Hirobumi stepped into Harbin Station with the ambition of Japan-Korea annexation. Lieutenant General An Jung-geun of the Korean Empire's volunteer army, father of three children, and a trustworthy husband, assassinated Itō Hirobumi for the sake of his people and independence. March 26, 1910, Lushun Prison. An Jung-geun claimed that he was a prisoner of war who, in his capacity as a lieutenant general in the Korean Empire's volunteer army, killed Itō Hirobumi, the leader of an enemy country who had taken away his country, but a Japanese court ruled that An Jung-geun was a terrorist who had violated international law and sentenced him to death.
