According to an exclusive report by MyDaily on the 7th, Nana will take on the title role in the drama "Ma Teresa".
"Ma Teresa" depicts a fierce power struggle surrounding university society and private educational foundations. The story follows a woman who will stop at nothing to reclaim a university that once belonged to her mother but was taken away. Along the way, she solves difficult cases while ruthlessly yet satisfyingly taking down her enemies.
Nana will play the genius criminal psychologist Ma Teresa. Contrary to the kind image suggested by her name, the character despises humanity. Inheriting both the intelligence of her mother and the good looks of her father, she possesses exceptional beauty and brilliance. She uses her genius solely to fulfill her own desires and recover what was stolen from her.
Recently, Nana made headlines after apprehending a robber who broke into her home with a weapon and injured her mother. During the incident, both Nana and her mother reportedly suffered injuries requiring three to five weeks of recovery. Amid this, Nana is now set to portray a character who confronts criminals directly.
After successfully showcasing a new side of her acting in the recently concluded ENA drama "Climax", Nana is also awaiting the release of the Netflix series "The Scandal" later this year. "Ma Teresa" will mark the first title role performance of her career since debuting.
The drama will be directed by Jang Yeong-woo, known for "Queen of Tears", while the screenplay will be written by Kwon So-ra and Seo Jae-won, who previously worked on "The Guest", "Bulgasal: Immortal Souls", and "The East Palace".
