Department 2 of the Supreme Court announced that the plaintiff, No Min-woo, lost to a claim of damages from SM Entertainment.

The justice department ruled No Min-woo suit as "unfit for trial",which automatically dismisses a case.

No Min-woo signed in with SM in the year 2000 and debuted as a member of the band TRAX in 2004. Five years later, he declared termination of contract and moved elsewhere. In 2015, he claimed SM didn't fulfill its duty as management and interfered with his activities, asking for 100 million in compensation.

No Min-woo claimed, "SM didn't take responsibility for TRAX since its debut and even after the band was broken up. The company didn't provide opportunities for the artist to continue with music or act and interfered with his career by pressurizing head producers and managers".

On the other hand, SM claims, "His resigning from TRAX caused him to owe money to the Japanese management, but all of that was taken care of. No Min-woo declared resignation on his own and the company has done enough to support its artist and has never interfered with anything".

The Court sided with SM on both counts. It claims No Min-woo's evidence wasn't enough to support his statement.
