The Seoul Central District Court on Friday said the sentence took into account the social status of the defendants and the scale of their gambling but also that they are "genuinely repentant" and have no prior convictions.
From 2008 to 2011, the three bet huge sums on sports matches such as the English Premier League through online betting sites.
Lee bet W370 million (US$1=W1,054), Tak W290 million, and An W400 million. The three do not plan to appeal.
