"Mercy for None" is a noir action drama in which Gi-joon (So Ji-sub), who cut his Achilles tendon and left the organization on his own, returns for the first time in 11 years after the death of his younger brother Gi-seok (Lee Jun-hyuk), who was the second-in-command of the organization, and digs into the background for revenge. It is based on the Naver webtoon of the same name, which is praised as 'the most complete noir webtoon of all time' and has a thick fandom.

So Ji-sub, who returns to noir action for the first time in 13 years, has been mentioned as the number one virtual casting standard among webtoon fans even before the series was produced.

"At first, I didn't know there was a webtoon and received the scenario", So Ji-sub said. "I was later told that I was the number one virtual casting".

"I love both of them", he said about the webtoon and the series, adding, "I'm cautious. However, I think I can feel the energy of going straight in the series better than the original".

Director Choi Sung-eun-II said, "I focused on maximizing the tone and manners of the original work in various processes", but after the release of the trailer, fans of the original work expressed disappointment.

In response, So Ji-sub said, "There may be parts that are different from the original, but the big picture itself is similar, so I tried to be faithful to the scenario".

As for the evaluation of the Korean version of "John Wick", he said, "I'm grateful to be compared to John Wick", adding, "I never would have imagined it".

So Ji-sub, who played a character with a severed Achilles tendon, said, "There were rather comfortable parts because I didn't use my legs", adding, "However, since there are so many action scenes, it is not easy to shoot, so I decided to shoot with the idea of 'Let's stop but not step back'."

When asked if his thirst for action has been quenched, he said, "I want to continue in the future".

"Mercy for None" which was released on Netflix on the 6th, ranked second in the global TOP 10 series (non-English) category by making the TOP 10 list in 44 countries around the world after its release.

So Ji-sub said, "I collaborated with Netflix for the first time with "Mercy for None", and I feel like I have increased the space to act in".
