Lee Sang-yi From Sub to Lead

Lee Sang-yi is coming back. In addition to releasing his works one after another, he shows his presence in various genres such as romantic comedy, comic action, and noir.

Lee Sang-yi stars as the lead with Shin Min-a and Kim Young-dae in the tvN drama "No Gain No Love". He plays Bok Gyoo-hyeon, a third-generation non-maritalist and chaebol owner in the drama, and has a romance with Nam Ja-yeon (Han Ji-hyun), a writer who writes adult-rated web novels.

In the drama, the story of the two people is dominated by the setting, where Shin Min-a and Kim Young-dae have a fake wedding, but Lee Sang-yi also takes up a considerable proportion.

The basis is that the spin-off drama "The Boss's Diet Table" which separates the stories of Lee Sang-yi and Han Ji-hyun, will be produced.

The drama, which is scheduled to be released in the second half of the year, advocates a romance fantasy about Han Ji-hyun, the author of adult-rated web novels, who is possessed by Seo Yeon-seo, the female protagonist of her novel, and Kang Ha-joon (Lee Sang-yi), the male protagonist of the romance novel.

Lee Sang-yi has mainly shown characters who have a crush on the female protagonist under the title of the second male lead, but now he is showing off his name value by standing tall as the sole lead.

He's also got future works lined up.

JTBC's new drama "Good Boy", which is scheduled to air in November, will feature intense action acting.

In the comic action drama, in which medalists who become police with a special feature fight against the world with police identification around their necks, he plays Kim  Jong-hyeon, a police sergeant who is a silver medalist but becomes a police officer due to injuries.

He has an extraordinary brain enough to graduate from the police school in first place and uses a police baton for suppression freely like a sword.

He will also release the second season of the action drama "Bloodhounds" which he starred with Woo Do-hwan last year.

In season 1, which depicts the story of two young men caught up in the private loan business, where money comes before human life, Lee Sang-yi drew attention by playing Hong Woo-jin, a promising boxing player, and showing a strong action performance.
