Moon So-ri in "Apartment" as Chatterbox

Moon So-ri, known for her role as Ae-soon in "When Life Gives You Tangerines", is making her return to television with a new JTBC drama titled "Apartment".

According to an exclusive report by OSEN on the 4th, Moon So-ri has confirmed her appearance in "Apartment", where she is set to play Jang Sook-jin, a talkative and nosy resident known throughout the apartment complex for her chatter and curiosity.

"Apartment" follows the story of a former gangster who decides to run for president of the apartment residents' association to seize control of 'blind money' circulating within the community. However, his plans take an unexpected turn as he ends up uncovering corruption within the complex and inadvertently becomes a hero. Actor Ji Sung was previously reported to be considering the lead role of Hae-kang, the ex-gangster protagonist.

In addition to Moon So-ri, actors Ha Yoon-kyung and rookie Kim Taek are also in talks to join the cast. Singer and actor Bek Hyunjin, who recently gained popularity through Coupang Play's variety show "Office Workers 2", is also reportedly reviewing an offer. Within this ensemble, Moon So-ri will play Jang Sook-jin, one of the key figures among the residents' factions centered around the apartment complex.

Notably, "Apartment" marks Moon So-ri's first drama appearance since her acclaimed performance as middle-aged Oh Ae-soon in the 16-episode Netflix series "When Life Gives You Tangerines", which was released in March and received high praise. In that series, she shared the role of Ae-soon with singer-actress Lee Ji-eun, portraying the character's later years as a mother, wife, and woman navigating middle age.

Since then, Moon So-ri made a special appearance in the MBC drama "Oh My Ghost Clients" and showcased a different side of herself in the tvN STORY variety program "Each Couple's House". Now, she is making her official return to scripted television with "Apartment", and anticipation is growing to see what kind of performance she will deliver in her new role.
