Synopsis
This series follows the adventures and unforgettable, heartfelt life stories of Ae-soon and Gwan-sik, both born on Jeju Island in the 1950s, as their lives unfold through four vibrant seasons. Ae-soon is a determined and rebellious girl with a deep love for books, yet she is unable to attend school because of her poor family background. Despite these circumstances, she continually defies her fate and never gives up on her dream of becoming a poet, expressing her emotions openly and without restraint. Meanwhile, Gwan-sik is a sincere, steadfast, and hardworking young man who speaks little and prefers to express himself through actions rather than words. He faces life with unwavering diligence and loves only Ae-soon, whom he deeply respects.
